NDA full form in Defence- National Defence Academy
NDA refers to the National Defence Academy which is an institute to prepare students for defence jobs and examinations.
The NDA is a mutual services academy of the Indian Armed Forces. is situated in Khandelwal, Pune of Maharashtra state of India.
NDA was built to give training to military students of all the three defence services – the Navy, the Air Force, and the Army before they go on to their relevant service academy for advance pre-commission training.
NDA admission process
The NDA is like an entrance exam so the candidates have to pass the examination before they join the training. For this examination, students require to have knowledge of common subjects such as English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, General Science, History, Geography, Current events, etc.
- Candidates have to go through a two-step process before they can join NDA.
- First candidates have to give a written examination to be shortlisted for the next step. This shortlisting will be based on the cut off for their respective category.
- The second stage is where candidates have to give SSB interview.
- Then the students have to pass the Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS) for NDA selection.
- The final selection process will be completed after the medical, physical fitness, merit, and candidate’s field preferences.
Talking about eligibility for NDA, any student who has passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Subject can write NDA exam.
