Adolf Dassler created his first shoe in 1920 when he was just 20 years old.
Adolf made special shoes in his workshop in 1928 for the athletes who participated in the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam.
Adolf made 30 various shoes for eleven different sports with a workforce of around 100 employees in the mid-1930s.
Adolf had to take a fresh start after Second World War.
That is why in 1947 Adolf started with 47 workers and made their first post-war sports shoes by using canvas and rubber from the American Fuel tanks.
