The associated cement company limited was established first as the Associated cement companies ltd. in August 1936.
The company was founded through the merger of ten existing cement companies.
ACC limited established first every entirely indigenous cement land of India at Chaibasa in the Bihar state in the year 1944.
ACC stepped up a bulk cement depot at Okhla in New Delhi in 1956.
In 1965 the ACC limited founded the central research station at Thane.
ACC acquired the cement marketing company of India in 1973.
ACC limited launched precalcinator technology in 1978 for the first time in India.
The associated cement company limited commissioned its first 1 MPTA plan at Wadi, Karnatka in 1982.
