The full form of SSC is the Staff selection commission of India. The staff selection commission is an Indian organization that is made to conduct recruitments and job employee examination for various posts under different ministries and departments.
The staff selection commission was initially named the Subordinate Service Commission. This current Staff selection commission organization works under the Department of Personnel and Training.
It has staff that include chairman, two members and a secretary who is the controller of examination also.

SSC history
The government of India organised a commission named subordinate service commission in 1975. The Subordinate service commission was formed to suggest reforms.
The subordinate service commission was renamed in September 1977 as the Staff Selection Commission.
According to the suggestions made by the staff selection commission, all the functions were redefined by the Government of India by the Ministry of Personnel, public grievances. These new functions along with the new constitution for the staff selection commission got effected from 1st June 1990.
Since its establishment in 1975, the staff selection commission has been involved actively to select staff for different group B and Group C posts for the Indian administration bodies.
The staff selection commission conducts many exams in a year for various different types of posts and job roles.

The candidates have to qualify for SSC CGL eligibility criteria to get a job for these posts. According to the SSC CGL structure as the name suggests the minimum educational qualification is to have a graduation degree from any recognized university. SSC GD

SSC Stenographer
SSC conducts examination for the post of Stenographer Grade C (non-gazetted post) and Grade D posts in different departments, organization and ministries of the Government of India. SSC conducts this Stenographer examination every year.
SSC CPO
SSC CPO examination is organized for the central police organization to recruit Sub-inspector in Central armed forces (CAPFs), Sub-inspector in Delhi Police and Assistant Sub-inspector (ASI) in CISF.
SSC JE
