Just like there are AICTE and UGC for an engineering college, which ensures that the college’s curriculum, infrastructure, lab facility, faculty, etc. are running correctly
Similarly, there is a Council of Vocational Training for all ITI institute, which ensures that the facility, workshop, faculty, infrastructure etc. of an ITI college are under the guidelines of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.

Just as NCVT supervises ITI colleges at the national level, there is another Vocational Training Council at the state level also called SCVT.
If the ITI institutes of a state are accredited by the SCVT of that state, then they follow all the rules of that SCVT.

All the rules of NCVT and SCVT are almost the same.

Today, due to NCVT, the level of ITI colleges has gone up to a great extent and students are getting a quality education.

Today more than 15,000 ITI institutes of India come under NCVT.

What is the difference between NCVT and SCVT?

There is no significant difference between NCVT and SCVT today, where NCVT is the governing body for ITI colleges across the country at the national level, the same SCVT is the governing body for ITI colleges under any state.

The ITI college you are studying today is affiliated with NCVT, or SCVT, does not matter

It doesn’t matter on your job chance or on higher education.

Today NCVT and SCVT both have equal value due to the efforts of the government.

The students doing ITI get the most government jobs in Indian Railways and there is no difference from NCVT and SCVT.

But even today some private companies are seen getting confused between NCVT and SCVT, so if you are getting the option of NCVT, then you give it  first preference.
