CSC full form or meaning is Common Service Centres.
Common Service Centers is a very important centre created to realize the Digital India Movement, which provides many essential public utility services to rural and remote places of the country, where even today internet and computer facilities are available.
A lot of e-services are being provided by the Government of India to the common people today, but even today there are many villages and towns in India, where the internet is not available properly, then the Common Service Center Providing all e-services to the common people initiated by Government of India.
Common service centres are planned in such a way that it can provide many essential services to the people at one place.
CSC was launched by the Government of India under the National e-Governance Plan in 2006, and CSC e-governance Services India Limited was established on 16 July 2009 to properly manage this essential service.
CSC i.e. Common Service Center performs the same function across the country, and it does not matter the geographical, cultural and linguistic diversity of a state or region.
And it enables the purpose of a socially, economically and digitally inclusive country of the Government of India.
In 2020, when people were very upset due to Corona, common service centres helped the government to bring many welfare schemes to the people.

Major works of CSC
Today many services are provided at any common service centre, following are some of the major services-
Government to citizen (G2C)-
It is important to work of CSC for the common people to reach out to the people through the digital medium, many types of services run by the Government of India and the State Governments.
The benefit of B2C i.e. Business to Customer Service can also be availed at CSC.
Bharath bill Pay-
Bharat Bill Pay is one of the important services available on CSC, using which any person can pay any kind of bill, be it electricity bill, mobile recharge, mobile bill payment, broadband and landline bill payment Be it DTH recharge, gas bill, water bill, everything can be done safely and reliably from one place
Passport service-
The Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India has partnered with CSC, under which common people can apply for a passport, payment of fees and schedule their appointment from CSC centre itself.
This is a very important service, for which people no longer need to go to a big city.
Pan card service-
Through the CSC centre, anyone can apply for a new PAN card or can also apply for any change in their old PAN card.
FasTag services-
The use of fast tag has been made mandatory for all types of four-wheelers since 2020.
A fast tag can be obtained at the common service centre, through which toll payment will be made automatically on any highway.
Job Application Services-
People can apply for various types of government and private jobs through CSC, as well as people working in the village can also make their MNREGA card through CSC.
Agricultural services-
Many services related to agriculture can also be availed at CSC, such as making necessary arrangements to sell the crop, knowing the right price of the crop, getting the Soil health card, getting the weather information, etc.
Insurance Services-
All types of fault insurance services can also be availed at Common Service Center
Whether it is to get new insurance or to pay the premium for your insurance, everything gets done easily on CSC.
even Farmers needed not to go anywhere else to get their crops insured and they can avail the benefits of crop insurance scheme easily on CSC.
Election Commission Services-
Many kinds of services related to Election Commission like adding the name to voter list or making any improvement in your voter id etc. can also be availed at CSC.
Travel booking services-
Different types of travel bookings such as bus tickets, train tickets, aeroplane tickets can also be booked from CSC.
How can someone open a new CSC?
Any interested person who has studied at least till 10th, and who has a basic knowledge of computer, can register for VLE for new CSC i.e. Village Label entrepreneur.

A minimum of 200 square feet of space is required to open a new CSC and a computer with a good configuration that has internet connectivity.
By opening CSC, one can get employment for himself and also provide many essential services to people around him through this digital medium.
The goal of the Government of India is to have at least one common service centre in every panchayat and later on it should be opened at the level of every village.
